S Services & Capabilities
Fabex provides laser cutting, CNC bending, TIG, MIG and spot welding, powder coating, assembly, and drawing-specific finishing. The accepted route and project size are confirmed from the material, geometry, quantity, quality requirements, finishing, handling, and freight plan.
Manufacturing lead time is quoted after we review the released scope, material availability, quantity, tooling, finishing, inspection, and approval requirements. The quotation defines when manufacturing lead time starts. Estimated freight transit is stated separately.
Fabex does not use one pieces-per-month figure because different sheet metal parts consume very different amounts of factory capacity. Small, simple parts may support production in the millions, while large parts requiring extensive welding, careful polishing, coating, inspection, or assembly take substantially more time per piece.
Capacity and manufacturing lead time are confirmed from part size and weight, material, operation count, tooling and setup, welding and finishing labor, coating batch constraints, inspection, assembly, order quantity, delivery cadence, forecast, and the current production mix. Send those requirements with your drawings; Fabex will propose the process route, batch plan, and manufacturing lead time for the specific workload.
Fabex is certified to GB/T 19001-2016 / ISO 9001:2015. Inspection and documentation are planned from the drawing and purchase requirements; material certificates, dimensional reports, and other records are supplied when included in the quotation or agreed quality plan.
D Design & Files
We accept STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, PDF, and native CAD formats. STEP files are preferred for 3D data, while DXF works well for 2D flat patterns. Upload what you have — our engineers can work with most formats.

M Materials & Specifications
Common materials include cold-rolled steel, stainless steel such as 304 and 316, aluminium such as 5052 and 6061, copper, brass, and galvanized steel. Other drawing-specified grades are reviewed for availability and process suitability.
Cut, formed, machined, and assembly tolerances are confirmed by feature and process during drawing review. The quotation identifies critical dimensions, coating allowances, and the agreed inspection method rather than applying one tolerance to every operation.
Fabex has in-house automated powder coating for light parts and a wet-paint shop for large or heavy fabrications. Specialist processes such as anodizing, galvanizing, passivation, plating, and related treatments are coordinated to the approved specification. Provide the substrate, colour or reference sample, gloss or texture, film build, masking, cosmetic surfaces, and corrosion requirement.
Most fabricated work uses 0.6-5 mm material. Bending is commonly 0.6-3.5 mm; laser cutting supports suitable materials below 20 mm; and plate around 10 mm and above can be welded when the joint and process are suitable. CNC machining can be reviewed for material or part sections up to approximately 200 mm, which is machining capacity rather than sheet-metal thickness. One standalone fabricated part can be reviewed up to 5 m long x 3 m wide x 3 m high, but most shipping pieces should target no more than approximately 2.3 m in the relevant dimension. Multi-part assemblies can be longer when split and shipped as agreed subcomponents. Standard 2440 x 1220 mm sheet stock, nesting, packed dimensions, container/truck clearances, lifting, route, and freight feasibility should be considered during DFM.
